We are seeking a technical expert who specializes in development on the ServiceNow platform. This person will consult with Align’s current and prospective clients to understand their business needs, identify requirements, and develop applications to meet those needs.

Consultants function as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs. Consultants gain exposure to multiple industries while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by ServiceNow. You will work closely with customers and the Align Financials Delivery team to design and configure customer solutions to address their business needs and solution requirements. You must have the passion and energy to work in a startup, entrepreneurial, and fast paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Gather functional and business requirements from client and translate into a functional hosted solution design which meets customer needs, provides maximum solution value, and is within scope of ServiceNow products/services.
  • Configure, test, & document ServiceNow dashboards, reports and underlying data models to meet functional design and specifications.
  • Work with the product management and development organization to channel client feedback and solutions into future releases of the ServiceNow product suite.
  • Work with content management to channel commonalities across customers into best practices processes & product delivered templates.
  • Work closely with other consultants in the organization to leverage skill sets and deliverables
  • Provide end user training as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the company to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion.
  • Design and develop applications and add-ons for the ServiceNow platform.
  • Configure Workflow, Application UI and Customize ServiceNow applications.
  • Perform enhancement requests, including changes to UI, system properties, foundation content and modifications to existing workflow.
  • Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform upgrades and installations of ServiceNow.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the ServiceNow platform.
  • Travel to client sites as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Executive report and dashboard design, SQL / SSRS, KPI’s, etc.
  • Software (especially SaaS) configuration experience.
  • In addition, successful Consultant will also have the following preferred skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.

Experience & Education:

  • 5+ years of solid experience in a business or technical analyst role for medium to large scale business software implementation projects.
  • 4 year degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, finance or equivalent.
  • Big four (or similar) experience in enterprise systems implementations is a plus.
  • Training / certification in ITIL or equivalent is a bonus.

 Basic Qualifications

  • Operational knowledge of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network / communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development / support.
  • 5+ years professional work experience, including at least 3 years experience working for a software services or consulting organization in a field or operations role
  • Solid understanding of services financial metrics and processes, including revenue recognition
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. MS Excel must include ability to create pivot tables, use lookups, ability to check errors in complex formulas, and ability to format/organize information to be consumed by a variety of audiences
  • Consistently operates in an attitude of partnership and collaboration. Develops strong relationships in all organizations and promotes company culture and values.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated track record of identifying improvement initiatives, securing organizational support, and driving to completion
  • Ability to analyze data and create complex, customized reports in Excel and other reporting tools
